Perhaps, and I am sorry you ended up spending the night alone, with Albert, but while I knew that there was something that needed to change, I've known that for a long time, I was not aware of what it was at the time, and while I enjoy having you as a friend, I don't feel a strong attraction beyond that at this time.

You know that I think all women are beautiful, but it is also true that beauty and common views of the world are not all that bring two people to become interested in each other.

I am truly happy that you have found some ongoing enjoyment and company with your Editor. From all you have said, he has a very independent and focused view on what it is he needs to do, and I am glad you have found a way to be a part of that. And I know that there will be times when you question the decisio. But I have confidence that you will find a way to achieve nearly everything you set out to do.

I'm hoping you have plenty of fun changing your life to get out of the rut you've been in. I'm working on that sort of thing myself. My rut doesn't really include my love life, at least I haven't decided to include that in what I want to change, but I am tired of having my belongings in an unfindable/unusuable dimension. Wish me luck there. I suppose the fact that my divorce wasn't all that unwelcome by the time it happened and the fact that I didn't have kids made it easier for me to get back to dating, that and having had pretty much my fill of being alone at night. Truth is I like it some, or I wouldn't be in a relatively committed relationship with a man who lives 50 miles away and is totally happy having me drive up once a week or so for dinner and... I value our phone conversations as much as the trips to see him, but this isn't exactly what I expected my life would be. Just so you know, you could have started with me. I spent the rest of that evening in my car with my dog.
